Restart Management Services of ESX

ESXi Service restart

In ESX is common practice to need to restart the management services. In ESX this is done by running the following commands.

service mgmt-vmware restart

service vmware-vpxa restart

And again this has change in ESXi – so I thought I would post this up because restarting the services is something that I do on a normal basic and I don’t want to walk to the console every time I need to do this so I use this command.

/usr/sbin/services.sh restart
